RARE Antique French Hotel Bell Sacre Coeur Sacred Heart St Mary Alacoque Bird c1900. It has 3 "eglomise" panels that represent the Sacre Coeur in Montmartre, The Sacre Coeur's bell (called la savoyarde) and the apparition of Jesus showing the sacred heart to Margaret Mary Alacoque. It's in good condition.

Size : 5" 1/2 High the base is 3" 1/2 in diameter "Eglomise" is the French name for the back-painted glass panels. That technique was used mostly in the second half of the 19th century up to 1910. Some of the souvenir boxes even have mother of pearl panels inlaid so that some parts shimmer with pearlescent light.
